　　考点分析：

　　1) More ... rather than ;More ... instead of ;More ... as…; 比较级 + over 都是错误的用法

　　2) 主语比较： A do sth than B do.

　　AB为对等名词，加do是为了显示这是一个可以发出动作的名词，因而确定是主语，进而确定是主语对比)

　　介宾比较： A do sth of C1 by D1 than of C2 by D2.(C1C2，D1D2对等名词)

　　理论上介宾短语比较一定要补出介词，否则容易造成歧义;但是具体情况要看选项，并不能作为Split

　　宾语比较： A do C1 than C2.(C1C2为对等名词)

　　状语比较： A do sth than usual/everbefore/people expected(直接加状语)

　　3)复习一下Rather/rather than 用法

　　- 记得在哪里看过，rather 几乎可以接任何东西。

　　- Rather，是副词，单独出现表转折时一般都在句首，用逗号隔开，接句子，不能接to do，也不能直接跟句子。而且一般不会单独出现

　　- 介词短语作状语时，要么提到句首，要么放在动词之后

　　- Neither … nor…, but rather 固定用法

　　选项：

　　A. 句首有more，所以须有than对应，as错;

　　B. 句首有more，所以须有than对应，as错

　　C. there was前后没有指代;

　　D. 比较特别要注意需要排除自身，any后面补出other

　　E. 正确。

　　引申：

　　Even though和Even if;

　　1) If强调的是条件和假设;

　　2) Though强调的是个对照，这个对照事实发生。

　　例句：

　　"Even though the dog ate the food, it was not satisfied."

　　"Even if the dog ate the food, it would not be satisfied."

　　第一句说狗确实吃了食物，但是它不满意;

　　第二句我们谈的条件或是一种假设，如果狗吃食物，那么它会不满意。

　　真题2：

　　According to a 1996 survey by the National Association of College and University Business Officers, more than three times as many independent institutions of higher education charge tuition and fees of under $8,000 a year than those that charge over $16,000.

　　A. than those that charge

　　B. than are charging

　　C. than to charge

　　D. as charge

　　思路：见到 more than ，three times，as many 都考虑比较的对象是否有共同性。As many as是固定搭配。

　　A. as many than 错;

　　B. as many than 错

　　C. as many than 错

　　D. 句子的意思是收费不同的学校的比较，而D省略了主语，变成收费16000的学校又同时收费8000刀。逻辑语义不符啊;

　　E. 正确，those 模糊指代 independent institution。Charging 做定语修饰学校。
