　　就近修饰原则：

　　(1)the development of the park, which is open to the public, will …此句话中，“，which”是非限定性定语从句，那么在GMAT原则中，要符合就近修饰原则，应该修饰park而非development。正确。

　　(2)he lost his way, which delayed him considerably.此句话中，“，which”是非限定性定语从句，应该就近修饰way，确误修饰了前面整个句子，导致语义错误。

　　(3)the radio was as a substitute for the telephone, a tool for private conversation.此句话中，“a tool for private conversation”是修饰成分，本应该符合就近修饰原则，修饰telephone，导致语义错误，因为正确的语义应该修饰radio。

　　一：The steel industry has changed radically over the last two decades, as large, integrated companies such as Bethlehem Steel once conducted operations from mining at one end of the process to shipping at the other have greatly downsized, or in some cases shut down altogether.

　　选项：

　　C. have greatly downsized是这个从句的谓语，所以不能有with修饰主语，否则不成句;

　　D. 此处不存在转折的意思;

　　E. such as前面要加逗号，以及conducted在BS后，修饰错误。

　　定语就近修饰，一定看看修饰语是否产生逻辑错误。
